Disaster.

I spilled a full bottle of Lucozade over my MacBook and it immediately shutdown. I had no backup of my work. I had not committed my work on tab dragging to BugZilla.

I only have an iMac G4 700Mhz with 384MB RAM to code on until this has been fixed. I may aswell be coding on a BBC Computer.

If you value your time you should get an external hard disk and SuperDuper! Total disk loss is a fairly common thing to have happen. Doing a complete disk mirror to a backup drive only takes about 10 - 15 minutes and can easily be scheduled for while you're not using your machine. SoC is as much about learning as it is about producing code... Good luck!

Bad luck about the accident. Sorry to hear that you'll have to code on an old machine. But very disappointed to hear that you didn't have any backups. A stupid mistake and I hope you've learned your lesson.

I hope the distilled water + drying method resurrects your 'Book....

Anywhen my wife sees any "open liquid container" near our Apple hardware she says "'Spensive!", and we both giggle.

And then we remove the container.

Best of luck with the MacBook repairs. And your fine project. Commendable.
