I saw your comment about how Xcode and Eclipse can be frustrating, and I sympathize. Sometimes the ugly nitty-gritty things drive me nuts -- build settings, classpaths, and such. I'd rather concentrate on the logic of my programs than the plumbing behind my tools. Plus both Xcode and Eclipse were excruciatingly slow on my PowerBook, despite it being Apple's most advanced G4 model before the switch to Intel. I'd have gone nuts if it weren't for the Intel switch. I have a smokin' 20" iMac at work, and it's the best dev machine I've ever used. Now I can actually be impressed by the power of Eclipse, and the fact that compiles are instantaneous. Unfortunately, Xcode still drags a bit on my MacBook -- ironic, a native app feeling sluggish while a pure Java one feels fast.
Anyway, I ramble. Best of luck on the SoC project!

Not a problem. It is a great piece of software and I use it all day, everyday.
I've not used Eclipse yet because I haven't had a reason to, but I'm intrigued to hear that it runs much faster now. It was rather sluggish on my iBook G4 1.33.
XCode does indeed drag a little bit, perhaps only having 512MB RAM is the reason!
